The USG Senate has passed an amendment to select the method of approval voting to replace single transferable vote. This change is a part of the elections reform project, which has also made additional suggestions for how to clarify and improve the USG Constitution. The document attached to this post includes the amendment that passed already included and has the suggested changes that have not yet been voted on highlighted. Please contact Michael Yaroshefsky (yaro@) regarding questions about voting reform and Trevor Martin (trevorm@) for questions pertaining to the constitution changes proposed in this document:

After Class of 2011 Senator Helen Chen decided to vacate her position, the Class of 2011 President Alex Rosen and the USG President Connor Diemand-Yauman held a series of interviews to replace her position. The position received a very strong applicant pool. Nevertheless, in the end, Alex and Connor decided to appoint Brian Jeong as the new Class of 2011 Senator. The USG thanks everyone who applied.
Feel free to reach out to Alex or Connor with any questions you may have. |
