Dearest 2012,

We will be raffling off 2 iPods at our Spring Formal this Saturday! Simply retrieve a ticket at the door. There is no entry fee...all that is required is a PUID. Winners will be announced at the end of the evening.

If you are bringing an outside guest-even if the person is a Princeton upperclassman-please e-mail me so that I can place him or her on our guest list. Also, if you'd like us to play your song at the formal, please e-mail Austin (hollimon@princeton.edu).

I hope you received an invitation under your door sometime this week. Our formal promises to be a marvelous event!

With great anticipation,

Your Class Officers

P.S. For our Spring Cleaning Clothing Drive, we donated a total of 350 articles of clothing, with Forbes contributing the most number of items. Thank you very much for your time and clothing! Please know that it will most certainly be appreciated Smile.

P.P.S. I've been hearing some anxiety over attire, and I do want to reiterate that tuxes are, by no means, required. If you have other qualms about what to wear, please e-mail me with your questions, and I would be more than happy to help you.

You are cordially invited to attend the annual Freshman Formal on the night of April 4th, 2009 from 10 pm to 2 am...

The setting: A beautiful spring evening with your nearest and dearest at the wonderfully picturesque Colonial Club (Allow me this one time to indulge in a cliché in saying that a picture is truly worth a thousand words).

Colonial Club
  • The hor d'oeuvres:
    • Chicken Satay with Peanut or Hot & Sour Dipping Sauce
    • Mini Wild Mushroom Tacos and Queso Blanco Cheese
    • Roasted Red Peppers, Basil and Artichoke Crouton
    • Vegetable Quiche
  • The desserts:
    • Pecan Tartlet, Chocolate Brownies
    • Cookies and Chocolate Covered Strawberries

The food will be fondly prepared by

Your entertainment will be provided by Where's Waldo, whose past performances have included Dean's Date, Lawnparties, Eating Club performances, Reunions, and the opening of Whitman College. A live DJ will also be there.

Admission is free. Outside guests are permissible (please e-mail me with any questions). No such thing as tickets for this event.

Worrying over your attire is strongly discouraged. Tuxes are not required. Knee-length and ankle-length dresses will be equally well-received.

Ever excited,

Your Class Officers

Hey 2012!

Don't forget to sign up for our 1st Annual

Class of 2012 Dodgeball Tournament!

Dodgeball

The tournament starts at 8 PM this Friday, March 27th, in Dillon Gym!

Scrumptious food will be ready for you in the lobby. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes will be awarded.

Come watch your friends play, or even better...undertake this momentous challenge yourself.

To register: please e-mail me your team name and the names of the 6 players on your team ASAP.

Warmly,

Lindy

P.S. Freshman Formal in Colonial Club on April 4th from 10 PM - 2AM! In response to a flurry of questions, we want to assure you that there is no need to fret over attire. For our gentlemen, tuxes are not required. For our ladies, knee-length dresses are fine, but floor-length ones are perfectly acceptable as well. All in all, simply look nice. I have no better advice and really, no more is needed. Just dance.

No tickets are required. Admission is free!

Drinks and finger food will be served. Where's Waldo, a band that has played at Dean's Date, Lawnparties, the Eating Clubs, and Reunions, will be performing! And of course...a professional DJ will also play your favorite songs. Song requests? E-mail Austin (hollimon@).

Dear 2012,

For March Madness this year...we proudly present to you our Class of 2012 NCAA Bracket Competition! The first place winner will receive the most state-of-the-art IPod available on the market, while the second place winner will receive-you guessed it-a free massage. You don't have to be a bona fide basketball fanatic in order to participate (though of course, if you are, we are delighted); I, for one, filled out my bracket by clicking on random buttons and leaving the rest to serendipity.

All you have to do is the following:

  • Click on the following link:
  • If you are not already a member of CBSSports.com, please register.
  • After successfully logging in, you will then be asked for the pool password: 2012rocks
  • Please forward any basketball-related questions to Austin (hollimon@princeton.edu).

Good luck!

Other housekeeping items:

  • Freshman Dodgeball Tournament on March 27th in Dillon Gym from 8-whenever suits your fancy. Please organize yourselves into groups of 6 and then e-mail me your team name and the names of all of your players by March 23rd. I have included the rules again just in case.
    • (Good) food will be provided.
  • Don't forget to contribute to our Spring Cleaning Drive! If you are commuting by car back to campus, please consider bringing unwanted though still wearable clothing along with you. Please deposit your items in the boxes placed at the entrance of the Dining Halls. Salvation Army will be picking up the clothing shortly after Spring Break.

I appreciate your time in reading this e-mail during break!

Have fun & relax,

Your Class Officers

Dearest 2012ers,

Free Small World Coffee at 14 Witherspoon Street on Wednesday night from 8:30-10:00 PM. Simply present your ID and redeem your coupon at the door from one of us (this measure is to prevent preying upperclassmen from drinking our beloved coffee). Take this time to just relax and relish life.

A few other things:

  • The following link will lead you to massage sign-ups. In this situation where demand will greatly exceed supply, an orderly sign-up is essential in order to avoid a stampede-this is my first time using this website, so please forgive me if there are any hiccups. http://www1.mysignup.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi?datafile=massagestudybreak
  • Health Services is running a video competition through ACC. Attached are the guidelines.

See you Wednesday!

Goodnight,

Your Class Officers
