The Analysis of Princetonian Attitudes Committee (APAC) has set three goals for this summer with regards to the COMBO I and COMBO II surveys. The committee aims to better inform the student body of the significance of the surveys' results. 1) Summarizing new findings from the COMBO I survey given in May 2007, primarily using the completed statistical analyses conducted by students in ORF 245. 2) Analyzing how background affects the Princeton experience from April 2009’s COMBO II survey. The analysis will focus on questions that will impact the USG's efforts to better the undergraduate student experience, as well as those that will improve campus dialogue about social life and student well-being on campus. We will also perform comparison analyses of COMBO I and COMBO II data. 3) Designing a new survey focusing on student priorities for the USG and perceptions about various aspects of the Princeton experience to be given in the fall. During the fall semester, we will publicize the results from the in-depth COMBO II analyses and the comparisons with the COMBO I results. We will also issue summaries to the school community (similar to what we had done for the aggregate results). Furthermore, we will coordinate with other committees regarding the release and analysis of a mental health survey and a proposed diversity survey. Juniors and seniors can also request to use any of our survey data for their JPs and senior theses. Please contact Thomas Chen or James Coan for questions, comments, or concerns. |
