This committee has been designed to research and recommend products and services that the USG can use to achieve its goals. This committee will also be responsible for implementing these tools and providing ongoing support. One example of a current product is the Google Docs system which facilitates USG collaboration, and another is the survey sofware used for all schoolwide surveys. Future projects include the opt-in email list for USG updates and the USG intranet wiki project.
The Web Application Development Committee will be in charge of an exciting series of ongoing web applications that the USG will be developing. Examples of existing projects include the Independent Student Room Draw Guide, the Student Course Guide, the Room Draw Guide, and Point. Upcoming projects include the Community Service Project Interchange, the Princeton Textbook Exchange, and a Carpooling Network.

Product Specialist - Product Support Committee
The Product Specialist docuses on researching the best possible online solutions. For example, this summer the product specialist will help the USG president and communications director implement an opt-in emailing list system. The ideal applicant is someone with a strong background in technology solutions who likes to stay on the cutting edge of "cloud" technologies.
Support Manager - Product Support Committee
The Support Manager provides ongoinug support to USG members for products and services used by the USG. Examples of products supported by the support manager include the USG Google Docs collaboration system and the USG Survey Gizmo account. The ideal applicant has a strong background using web services (such as Google Docs, Survey Gizmo, etc.) and is able to respond quickly and helpfully to USG members utilizing these tools daily.
Vice Chair - Web Application Development Committee
The Vice Chair of the Web Application Development Committee will schedule and organize all committee meetings, take notes at meetings, and prioritize the projects of the committee. In addition, the Vice Chair will work with the rest of the committee to plan and keep track of progress on the projects.
Chief Coder - Web Application Development Committee
The Chief Coder concentrates primarily on developing and implementing web applications based on the requests of the USG senate. The Chief Coder should be proficient in at least PHP and mySQL website development. Experience with advanced technologies such as Ajax and Javascript are a plus, as is any knowledge of Django.
Chief Designer - Web Application Development Committee
The Chief Designer works conjointly with the chief coder by managing the user interface and design elements of the custom-built web applications and the USG website. The Chief Designer is expected to be proficient with Adobe CS tools, CSS, and have experience building websites.
