The following is a selection of responses designed to be fairly representative of the roughly 32 single-spaced pages of responses received. Students who mentioned the grading policy opposed it, those who discussed the academic calendar were split, and while many praised the survey, some had specific or general critiques.

In order to dispel many of the common misconceptions regarding Princeton's grading policy, the Undergraduate Student Government and the Office of the Dean of the College have collaborated on a letter to the entire faculty body that clarifies the significance of the policy. By distributing this letter to both faculty and students, we hope to ease common concerns about what the grading policy does and does not entail. Following this article is the text of the very letter distributed to the faculty on Thursday, September 17th.

USG Service Outages
Frontpage - News
Written by Michael Yaroshefsky

With the growing array of online apps built and maintained by the USG, our responsibility in maintaining them has also grown.  This semester we will consolidate our online services around the TigerApps.org domain in an effort to make the services more reliable and more accessible.

However, outages -- either planned or unplanned -- are always possible.  Sometimes we are unaware of an outage, and we cannot take the necessary steps to remedy the situation if we don't know that it exists.

Therefore, we have implemented the following solutions:

  1. Outage announcement and update page
When we become aware of an outage, we will make the announcement on this page.
  2. Outage or bug report form
If you find that an app is unavailable or not working as it should, and you don't see anything related on the outage announcment page, please report it to us via the report form or via email to yaro@.
Both of these solutions are on the "Outages and Bugs" link under the "Services" menu link at the top of the USG site.
