Meeting Dates and Deadlines

Knowledge of the Projects Board deadlines is key to planning and running a successful event. There are two important Projects Board dates that are associated with every funding request. The first is the online application deadline. The application deadlines are always Tuesdays by 5pm.  The group member who submitted an application will receive a request from one of the co-chairs by midnight Wednesday to present at the Thursday meeting.

The second important date is the actual Projects Board meeting date. Typically, if you submit the application by Tuesday at 5pm, you will be scheduled for that week’s meeting.  Meetings are held every Thursday of the regular academic year.  Please have at least one knowledgeable representative from your organization at that meeting. And make sure this representative is involved enough in with the event to know the event details, the budget, and Projects Board funding procedures. You are more than welcome to have two or three representatives from your organization at the meeting. (The more the merrier!) It is great way for new officers of your organization to become familiar with the Projects Board process.

In addition, if your request exceeds $3000, contact co-chairs at least 2 weeks before event.

All meetings will take place on Thursday afternoons at 4:30 PM in the Student Government Office, located at Frist 204

If your event requires special attention or the deadlines are not suited for your event, please contact the Projects Board for an earlier date. We are very accommodating, especially if your event requires earlier responses on funding (in the cases of conferences, speakers, etc.). Do not hesitate to come earlier.
