We invite you to join the Undergraduate Student Government through one of our Senate committees! Committees are where much of USG’s work happens, driving forward our policy-focused advocacy and efforts to support and strengthen an inclusive campus community.

Below, you can read more about our USG Academics; Campus & Community Affairs; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Social; Sustainability; and Undergraduate Student Life Committees. To apply to your desired committee(s), please complete the italicized step by February 1, 11:59 pm ET. Students of all class years are welcome to apply to any of the committees. Campus & Community Affairs (CCA) Committee
Chair: Isabella Shutt ‘24, ishutt@princeton.edu

This Spring, CCA will place undergraduates in local internships; integrate local dining into meal plans, while continuing to offer Tigers In Town events; co-host a vibrant Communiversity with the Arts Council co-host the first annual Princeton PorchFest with the Arts Council; and build student group partnerships with local organizations.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee advocates for all students by promoting diversity, pursuing equity, and increasing inclusion in USG's work with student groups, faculty, and administrators. Key committee priorities include making DEI an integral part of USG and fostering dialogue around diverse student experiences.

Social Committee

The USG Social Committee is responsible for planning University-wide social events, with emphasis on Lawnparties and the Dean's Date Celebration. Through these events and initiatives, our goal is to ensure that everyone’s voices are heard and recognized, and that every student knows that they are not only a participant of our community, but they are a valued member that defines the Princeton community itself.

Sustainability Committee

At the USG Sustainability Committee (SusComm), we empower Princetonians to mindfully embrace sustainability by creating events, content, and inclusive spaces that unite the arts, sciences, and humanities. We also connect with administrators, faculty, and student groups to promote sustainable initiatives and research.

Undergraduate Student Life Committee (USLC)

The Undergraduate Student Life Committee is responsible for actively working towards solving relevant issues pertaining to student life on and off campus, including but not limited to dining, housing, discipline, and public health. Priorities for the committee this year will include COVID, Honor Code reform, fostering an inclusive community and meeting any other needs of the student body.

Academics Committee

The Academics Committee primarily focuses on collecting student feedback regarding the undergraduate academic experience, drafting proposals to improve said experience, and advising the University on their policies.
